Hundreds of years have passed since the Israelites
settled in the promised land of Canaan.
During that time
they often turned from God to worship heathen idols a result they have
weak almost slaves of their enemies the Philistines to
some it seems that God has forgotten
his promise to make Israel strong. At the tabernacle at
Shiloh Eli high priest watched the
faithful come to worship he notices a woman and
suddenly he became angry.
Hannah acted as if
she was drunk how dare she insulted God. Angrily He accused her.
Hannah said no-no-no I am not drunk. I am not happy and in my sorrow I have poured
out my heart to God asking him to help me.
