Before Jesus went back to heaven He told His friends to stay in Jerusalem  Wait for the gift My Father promised you Jesus said He will send the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit will give you power tell people Everywhere about me. Jesus friends stayed together in Jerusalem They prayed and waited. One day they heard a sound like wind blowing They looked at each other. Little Flames were burning over their heads When they spoke other languages came out. Everyone was SO excited that they ran outside As they ran out a huge crowd of people came running toward them So Jesus friends began telling wonderful things about God In the crowd were people who spoke many different languages But the Holy Spirit made the words clear in Every language! Then Jesus friend Peter stood up He told how Jesus lived and died and came back to life so that people could join God's Family That day more and more people loved Jesus God's family grew bigger and bigger Jesus will help us tell others about Him Then other people can love Jesus too
