During Noah's lifetime
people were acting very wickedly. This made God unhappy. It made God sad because people seemed to
be thinking more about themselves than about God.
However, Noah wa s a good man
He loved God and obeyed God.
God's promise to Abraham
Years later in a place called
Ur of the Chaldess,
God spoke to a man
named Abram.
Leave this land God commanded
Go to the land I will show you.
In addition, Abram obeyed God.
God led him to Canaan.
His wife Sarai and nephew Lot
went with him.
In Canaan both Abram
and Lot became rich.
They had large herds of cattle.
There was not enough
pasture for so many animals.
