Two verses from Luke and what the story mean

Two verses from Luke:

a.) Remember this! Whoever does not receive Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.

Did you remember what did you learn last year?

This is the story about what is the difference between Tax Collector and the Pharisee. Found verse from Luke:

b.) Two men went to temple. One was the Pharisee. One was Tax Collector. The Pharisee prayed, "O God thank for nothing, thank not dishonest and not greedy." But Tax Collector prayed, "God, Mercy on me because I am a sinner." God accepted Tax Collector but not the Pharisee.

What the passage mean? This passage mean is God accepted Tax Collector because Tax Collector was humble. Humble mean is not too proud. God did not accept the Pharisee because the Pharisee was too proud.

I hope you understand this passage what the difference beteween Tax Collector and the Pharisee.
