I can count on God to be there for me through thick and thin good days and bad days, laugher and tears joy and despair. No matter what I am experiencing. God is there to comfort me and help me and even to paint out the lessons. I was meant to learn along the way. I can count on people the way. I can count for me some of the time but only God is reliable 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year.

God's peace is a bone-deep peace that calms every cell of the body. In addition, God's peace is a powerful peace that stops the storms within and without and gentle calls the spirit home to shore. God's peace is a comforting peace that soothes the heart-wounds whole again. God's peace is a bone peace that quiets the restless soul.

O Lord, Almighty what comfort I find in your constancy and faithfulness. You are the same God who hung the stars in the universe and called them by name. You've heard the prayers of troubled souls since the beginning of time and yet you never stop listening. In addition, thank you Lord for your constant sovereignty and your unfailing love. You are indeed our comfort and our strength when all about us seems to be falling apart.

The sting of rejection lingers long after it has been inflicted. It often creates an aversion to drawing near to the very thing that can bring healing love through a relationship with God. It takes a certain willingness to risk reaching out to be forgiven by God if we ever hope to find wholeness again. But there is no more worthless risk than that which risks for the sale of God's love.

Perhaps you cannot remove everything in life that causes you stress but you can approach it with a sense of inner peace that makes you unshakeable and unstoppable. Life will never be perfectly calm but as long as you are within where God lives and moves and has his being it won't matter what is happening on the outside.
